SwissBorg has raised over CHF21m ($23m) from close to 17,000 investors in a series A funding round. The Swiss-based crypto firm’s fundraising campaign was almost entirely centred around raising cash from its community via a dedicated app. It follows an initial coin offering in 2017/18 that raised $50m from nearly 24,000 individual investors. SwissBorg aims to become a leader in the European crypto and decentralised finance markets, and its community-centric approach gives the company a unique positioning, the company said.
