Next week, servers for the free-to-play game Storybook Brawl will be shutting down.

Storybook Brawl, an online game that was previously praised by former FTX head Sam Bankman-Fried, is shutting down its servers on May 1 due to FTX’s collapse. The US unit of FTX purchased Storybook Brawl’s developer Good Luck Games LLC in March 2022 and planned to integrate it into the company’s game development division. Storybook Brawl was also important to FTX’s commitment to using eco-friendly blockchain technologies. FTX collapsed in November 2021 and owes money to a long list of creditors, including Binance, FINMA, and the US Financial Crimes Enforcement Network. This week, rumors have circulated that FTX could be given another shot after Tribe Capital proposed a $250 million buyout to revive the exchange. However, talks are still ongoing.
